Yesterday I had the opportunity to go on Washington Watch, a program of the Family Research Council (FRC), to talk about Biden and the radical Left’s LGBT agenda.

Every worldview answer four basic questions:

  • Origin: Where did I come from?
  • Identity: Who am I?
  • Meaning: Why am I here?
  • Purpose: How should I live? / Where am I going?

This is why LGBT ideology is a direct challenge to the Christian worldview: Christianity says I am God-created; LGBT ideology says I am self-creating. Christianity says God made me in His image; LGBT ideology says I can shape my own image toward my own fancies; Christianity says my life has meaning in God’s creative purposes and that I should follow Him; LGBT ideology says meaning is self-created and I should follow my heart. Christianity says I should live for the glory of God; LGBT ideology says I should live for my own glory.

What we have seen the Left doing, in pushing this Marxist gender ideology, is using the vocabulary and grammar of Christianity to unseat Christianity from the public square.

Just this past weekend, when Biden declared March 31st to be a Transgender Day of Visibility, a day that coincided with the Christian celebration of Easter, he did so citing the Bible’s teaching that each individual is created in the image of God. But that very verse, Genesis 1:27, teaches that God created each individual male or female. Gender and sexuality are not social constructs, or psychological whimsies — they are gifts given by a Creator God.

As they pursue their radical agenda, the Left continues to saw at the very branch they are sitting on. For instance, they invoke language about inalienable rights. Where does that language come from? It comes most recognizably from the Declaration of Independence, which itself recognizes that these rights are inalienable because they are given to us by our Creator. The Left is waging this all-out war against Nature and Nature’s God, to use other language from the Declaration, and they are doing it with the very concepts that a Christian civilization gave them.

There is a clip going around of atheist Richard Dawkins, who is alarmed at the state of the public square in the West, particularly Great Britain.

Dawkins is beginning to recognize that Christianity gave us everything that is good about our current civilization, even as he has spent his entire life attacking it. Now, as his secular critiques have seemed to have taken effect, he is alarmed at what is taking its place: fundamentalist-Marxist LGBT ideology, and radical Islam! We in America should wake up before these ideologies take any deeper root in our own backyard.

Libs of TikTok has done us all a service by exposing the radical ideologies being pushed on America’s youth in the public classrooms and school libraries: pornographic books, coerced speech around preferred pronouns and transgender identities, flags, pride days, etc.

So how should Christians respond?

Be disciples and make disciples. Live as Christians on Sunday, and also Monday through Saturday. Don’t have to check your Christian convictions at the door of your workplace, or political office, or family gathering. In fact, that is the definition of hypocrisy. Live in integrity instead. If anything has become clear over the last five years, the Left is certainly not ideologically neutral. Christians cannot afford to be neutral either.

And we should do all of this with joy. Just yesterday, Christians around world celebrated not Transgender Visibility Day, but Easter — resurrection Sunday. This is the day we recognize Jesus rose from the dead — conquering sin and death once and for all, and he is right now sitting at the right hand of the Father. The end is already written, and Christ is victorious. Let’s live like it.
